Designing User Interfaces with Emerging Technologies

This course introduced emerging user interfaces technologies that might impact future Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Designs. Through assignments, we developed skills in designing with and researching emerging technologies to create meaningful product and service designs.

Assignments included Relax-Desk for reducing student stress with biometric feedback and sensor pads. NFContact for contactless information exchange via NFC-integrated clothing, and a gesture elicitation study for C-AR-D: a mixed reality application that visualizes a 3D map on a physical card.

This course enhanced my skills and boosted my confidence in prototyping with these emerging technologies (T&R). Additionally, I learned how to integrate them in designs to create meaningful solutions that can positively impact users and society (U&S).
