Automatic Proctoring
Embodying Intelligent Behavior in Social Context
In this course, we designed technological solutions with learning algorithms to foster behavioral change or enhance social interaction. Explainable AI (XAI) was learned as a means to improve human-technology interaction by making algorithmic decisions more transparent.
Our project included an automated proctoring tool to address academic cheating, using a supervised learning algorithm with intuitive XAI-based communication for invigilators.
This course deepened my understanding of learning algorithms and their everyday applications (MD&C, T&R). I learned the importance of XAI as a means to address concerns with learning algorithms, showing the overall importance of addressing user and societal concerns (U&S) when applying technology (T&R).
